Boise State University’s class of 2024 had its moment of pomp and circumstance on May 4, 2024, with a record number of 3,200 graduates joining the more than 172,000 living alumni of the state’s largest higher education institution.
“Our pursuit of knowledge is unwavering and we will continue to grow as individuals and learn,” said Jason Holman, one of the student speakers. “Our experiences, both good and bad, are the most powerful tools we can use to change the world. As we go into the world, please remember that we are perfectly imperfect and failure is inevitable. It is what we choose to do with our experiences that will define our growth.”
Boise State also presented honorary doctorates to Idaho’s former governor C.L. “Butch” Otter and former state senator Cherie Buckner-Webb as part of the largest commencement in Boise State’s history. Boise State is celebrating 50 years as a university in 2024.
